When we originally created the character back stories there was something interesting that popped in my head.  Zorin’s father actually was originally Ariakas, the emperor of Ansalon from the Dragonlance series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.  

Those that may have read the books my notice the nod to the original influence when he references his childhood name as “Ariakan” the name of the son of Ariakas.
